Ed Kopkos Poem
The countdown to the publication date for my book PROJECT BOLD LIFE: The Proven Formula to Take on Challenges and Achieving Happiness and Success is winding down, and some early readers have been chiming in with accolades.
One such reader is Bruce George, the co-founder of the award-winning “Russell Simmons Presents, Def Poetry Jam” on HBO. He says, “Ed Kopko’s book PROJECT BOLD LIFE is beyond motivational; it’s transformative.” As an author, I’d say it’s pretty exciting to have someone say that about your book!
In honor of Bruce and his “Genius is Common” movement, I wrote a poem that encapsulates the positive message of the book:
Yes I can
Will I though?
Time to think
Time to grow
I want meaning
Go for gold
One life to live
Live it Bold!
Caveat: I have never professed to be a poet!
I would be remiss if I didn’t bring Bruce Craven into any mention of poetry. He’s a professor at my alma mater, Columbia University, and the author of Win or Die: Leadership Secrets from Game of Thrones and a book of poetry called Buena Suerte in Red Glitter. After reading an advance copy, he says, “Ed Kopko offers us access to the timeless importance of being Bold.”
